Shakti
Mat Meditations
When
I first discovered the Shakti mat, an acupressure mat designed to
heighten the intensity of meditations whilst simultaneously reducing
the severity of various ailments, I admit that I was a little dubious
about it's claims.
Meditation, after all, is supposed to take nothing more than stilling
your thoughts. So why would you need something like a Shakti mat to
assist you do that? For that matter, is it even possible to meditate on
a device which resembles a bed of nails?
As it happens, the answer is yes! This is an acupressure mat which is
very useful while meditating; one try and I was hooked. I use mine all
the time now, especially at night to help me relax and get a good
night's sleep. This acupressure mat somehow even banished a nagging
ache in my hip which used to have me up half of the night tossing and
turning.
The <a href="http://www.shaktimatmeditations.com"
target="_blank">Shakti Mat</a> is covered with
little lotus-flower shaped acupressure points providing over 6,000
'nails' that stimulate the meridians, releasing energy and lulling you
into a state of relaxation. Even busy, buzzy over-active minds will be
stilled by a 20 minute session on one of these mats. Your mind has no
choice but to slow down, there are higher energies at work here.
The first time you lie down on the Shakti mat, this new sensation can
take a little getting used to. The trick is to lie right down not to
try to ease yourself onto this <a

. Once the points are evenly supporting your weight, it's actually
quite comfortable.
In less than a minute after lying on the Shakti mat, I started to feel
a sensation of warmth and tingling spreading over my back. By the time
ten minutes had gone by, I could feel this warmth in every part of my
body. It was a little strange at first, but it is actually a comforting
sensation which caused me to relax very quickly.
This warmth is energy releasing as your meridians are stimulated by
contact with the spikes of the acupressure mat, subtle energies within
the meridians rebalancing as you rest.
With each breath, I felt more and more as if my body was melting into
the Shakti mat. The acupressure of these thousands of points quickly
lulled me into a deep meditative state.
I didn't have to put any effort into clearing my mind of thoughts, nor
did I have to relax each part of my body individually. All I had to do
was to focus on the warmth which flooded through me and I slipped right
into a meditative state quickly.
The feeling of calm that can be experienced whilst meditating on the
Shakti mat is divine. The power of acupressure combined with the act of
meditation makes for a truly heightened mediative state. As the subtle
energies are stimulated, the mind stills further enabling you to reach
a higher level of awareness whilst meditating.
This is an <a href="http://www.shaktimatmeditations.com"

who would like to reach a deeper meditative state should try for
themselves. As far as I'm concerned, the Shakti mat is the No 1 aid to
meditation you could ask for. |
